Ophelia is one of the most tragic Hamlet. He loses his head (or not), but she is in front of his wall of incomprehension. "Thee to a nunnery!" He snapped. And poor Ophelia does not know what happened, because before it seemed that he loved her. Then she loses her head, and rightly so. Hamlet kills her father, Polonius. And she walks around with flowers in hand. And disappears. Queen Gertrude says, shortly after that climbed a tree, fell into a river and drowned. In this way, we never know if she committed suicide.
