Smalltalk Web 2.0 - Call for help!

Hi folks,

A few days ago I commented on the projects related to Web 2.0, I'm developing with Smalltalk.

I'm at a point where I can say that we can achieve far more than the browsers (Internet), and the examples that I generated (SocialShopping, Unnamed, LiveWiki, etc) to prove it.

far as I developed the tools you need them, so the framework has a bit of everything. That "little bit of everything" proves that you can do many things, but for the framework to become a possible tool should do more than "a little" of everything.

need help to complete it.

There is enough work to do, from translating documents into English I'm doing, complete kinds of "help" (Color, Rectangle, etc) and, above all, fill in quantity and functionality widgets.

To give the first push, I did something I do not usually do: Documentation ;-)

Ongoing projects are:

  • Asteroid : Comet for Squeak. Quite simply, there's not much to do here.

  • ST2JS : translator of Smalltalk to Javascript code. In the translator if there is not much more to do, but if there is enough support in classes.

  • SWT: Framework for Web 2.0 applications. Use the 2 previous projects. Implements communication between the browser and Smalltalk, etc.

The documentation is not finished yet but (I think) and it looks pretty on the possibilities.

also create a mailing list on google, to coordinate work and discuss the future of the project:

I hope you like it and that many will be encouraged to lend a hand.
